IRWA Privacy Policy
Our Commitment to Privacy
IRWA is committed to protecting your privacy. The following statement explains our policy regarding the collection and use of any personal information you may provide us as you use the International Rural Water Association website intlruralwater.org (the “Web Site”) or any of the services provided theirin (collectively the “Service”). Your use of the Web Site or the Service evidences your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

The Way We Use Information
When you supply information about yourself for a specific purpose, we use the information for only that purpose. For example, we ask for personal information on our online donation pages to properly enable donation transaction processing. We use this information to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and to help prevent fraudulent donations.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
IRWA does not sell, rent, give-away or share its e-mail addresses or other information with outside sources.
Information We Collect
We collect information about our users that cannot be used to personally identify you. This information may include the web site’s Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. We collect this non-personal information to help diagnose problems with our server and the Web Site and to administer and improve the Service.
Credit Card Security
If you make an online donation to IRWA, your credit card information is secured by a reputable security company (PayPal, formerly known as Verisign). Your credit card number is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored. You will see the "closed" lock symbol on your browser screen (often times it is yellow) when you are on our secure donation pages. You will also notice in your web site address bar that the domain name starts with an "https" on those donation pages. This means that information entered on those pages is encrypted for your security.

IRWA uses cookies to identify your browser as you visit pages on the IRWA website or sites of IRWA partners. Cookies created on your computer by using our website do not contain personally identifiable information and do not compromise your privacy or security.
